The FALL KICK-OFF LUNCHEON is always a lot of fun,
and this year was no exception!

The SEPTEMBER 2022 annual Fall Kickoff Luncheon took place at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Burkhardt, Wisconsin.   It was an easy location to which to drive, there was terrific food, and lots of opportunities to talk and laugh with others.  All in all, it was a huge success, and A LOT OF FUN! 😊

A long table for the attendees,
instead of several smaller tables,
was great for being able
to interact with others.

OCTOBER found the Hudson Women's Club volunteering at the St. Croix Valley Food Bank in Hudson.  It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun working together!  HWC packed 300 boxes of food for people in need in the St. Croix Valley.  Wow!  We'll be looking to do this again!!

NOVEMBER is the month of the annual HWC "Giving Tree" event.
This year, Tim Puffer, Exec. Director of Operation H.E.L.P. was the guest speaker.
Each woman making a donation could choose a beneficiary, or she could choose 'general fund' for
her donation.
Whichever beneficiary was chosen, each woman was then given materials
to make an ornament to decorate the barren Christmas tree.

The HWC Board of Directors vetted several beneficiaries for this year's donations, and the
following eight (8) beneficiaries were chosen based on their needs and impact on the St Croix Valley.
Each beneficiary would receive a $500 minimum;  the amount would only go up
based on donations received from HWC members.
The eight (8) beneficiaries were: Operation  HELP  /  Hudson Hospital Foundation - Good Samaritan Fund   Hudson Library Foundation  /  Hudson Senior Center  /  St. Croix Valley Food Bank
St. Croix County Historical Society  /  Turning Point  /  Grace Place - Salvation Army.

Amounts given to the eight (8) beneficiaries ranged from $800 to $1570.

Thank you, Hudson Women's Club, for your generous donations!

DECEMBER brought Hudson Women's Club members and guests
to the "Holiday Tea" in the River Room of the Phipps Center for the Arts.

The "Holiday Tea" is a charming annual event hosted, organized, and
presented by the Board of Directors for HWC members and guests.

There was live music ... Carol Dahle played Christmas carols
on the piano for mood-setting socializing,
and Nancy Burman lead a Christmas Carol Sing-Along. 🎶

The food and the tables were nothing short of amazing!
All the food was made and presented by the Board of Directors!

Each Board Member decorated a table for the event.  Although there was a table-decorating "contest," as you can see - all the tables were lovely!

JANUARY was a ZOOM meeting for the Hudson Women's Club. 👍
We all know that January can be snowy and icy, so Zoom was the solution to staying at home
in comfy clothes and slippers on, enjoying a very informative event!

Kristin Miller, RDN, CD Registered Dietician, presented an evening of eating healthy in the New Year ...
"Cooking with Kristin"

Here are some of the poignant health issues she covered.   She was a delight!   Really knew what she was talking about.

 And CELEBRATE
we did!
After Kristin's awesome information,

she walked us through the steps - live in her kitchen -
of putting together a wonderful and healthful
recipe.  Some of the ladies
on Zoom had picked up the ingredients
before the meeting, and they made
the recipe in their homes along with
Kristin!
