The FALL KICK-OFF LUNCHEON is always a lot of fun,
and this year was no exception!

With a great turn out, the SEPTEMBER 2023 annual Fall Kickoff Luncheon took place at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Burkhardt, Wisconsin. The excellent food was prepared, plated,
and served by the HWC directors, and we had an annual meeting as well!
President, Nancy Burman shared information on "What's Happening!"
Treasurer, Carol Dahle shared "Where does your money go?"
Program Coordinator, Linda Peterka gave everyone a "sneak peak" at programs for the upcoming year!!!
Event Coordinator, Chris Pederson did an excellent job of pulling the whole event together, including presentation of a red rose to all Honorary Members, who having been in the
Hudson Women's Club for 25 years. Very special!!
There were lots of opportunities to talk and laugh. All in all, it was a huge success, and A LOT OF FUN! 😊

"The Giving Tree Event"
is an annual program through which Hudson Women's Club
members may donate and support their favorite
Beneficiaries in the St. Croix Valley.
This year, the Hudson Women's Club was able to donate
over $9000.00 to 11 Beneficiaries.
With lovely table decorations and delicious treats for everyone,
donations were made as the evening progressed.
With each donation made, members wrote their name on a leaf along with a note, sharing for what they are thankful.
Here's the beautiful "Giving Tree" which adorned the wall of The Phipps Center in November.

In the above photos you see Chef Charles, from the "St Croix Bakery." Not only did Charles give a short history on the holiday Yule Log, he also gave a fascinating demonstration on how to make a Yule Log. 🎄

It was a lovely event featuring the scones' recipe of Dorothy Wilson, including clotted cream. Background holiday music was played on the piano by Carol Dahle, and the afternoon ended with a fun and energetic Sing-Along led by Nancy Burman. |
